• OSHA fines contractor at Samsung Taylor construction site (statesman.com) — Workplace safety at Samsung’s massive chip plant in Taylor is under scrutiny again after a contractor was fined nearly $40,000 for inadequate fall protection following an employee’s fall. Federal regulators have now issued almost $59,000 in fines at the Taylor site, where one worker died earlier this year and thousands of construction and future permanent jobs are at stake. 
• Paper delivery shifts by one day (navasotaexaminer.com) — Granite Media Partners is shifting printing of The Navasota Examiner from Taylor to Bryan, which will push Wednesday print deliveries and rack availability to Thursday starting in early July. Readers can still access the e-edition on Tuesdays and are encouraged to consider digital or bundled subscriptions to keep up with local news without delay.
