The year-long project will expand campus labs and give civil engineering students hands-on experience with sustainable materials, workshops, and real-world testing alongside partner Texas universities. 
• Texarkana to host first airshow in 30 years for American 250 celebration (ksla.com) — Texarkana residents can look forward to a big regional celebration when the Texarkana Airshow returns June 27 to Texarkana Regional Airport, the first in 30 years. Featuring the U.S. Army Golden Knights, historic Warbirds, live music, a 5K, motorcycle show, and a $10,000 BBQ competition, organizers and both Texarkana mayors say it’s a showcase of the community’s military heritage and American 250 pride.
• Texarkana man accused of faking death arrested (ktbs.com) — A Texarkana man previously accused of faking his death to avoid serious criminal charges has now been arrested in Hot Springs County, according to KTBS. Authorities say he had once been on Texas’ Top 10 Most Wanted list after allegedly staging a suicide on the Red River Bridge. Officials plan to release more details as the case develops.
