Nash police say the suspect, a previously convicted murderer, allegedly killed a coworker who intervened, shot his wife, then killed himself. Authorities report no ongoing threat and counseling is being offered to employees.

Texarkana Woman Arrested for Allegedly Impersonating Toys for Tots Ambassador (txktoday.com) — Texarkana residents are being warned that a local woman recently arrested is not officially connected to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, despite allegedly claiming to be an ambassador. Bowie County authorities say she distributed materials using the charity’s logo and urged people not to donate toys or money through her.

Accused Child Molester Allegedly Faked Own Death, Woman Accused Of Hindering Police (txktoday.com) — Texarkana authorities are still searching for a man facing multiple child sex abuse charges who allegedly staged a suicide and disappeared, while a woman is now charged with hindering his capture. Investigators traced his movements from Texarkana to South Texas and believe he received help traveling across the state after his GPS monitor went dark.

5. William Bert Page (txktoday.com) — Texarkana is mourning the passing of 93-year-old resident William Bert Page, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and member of St. Edwards Catholic Church. He is remembered by his wife Doris of Texarkana, along with daughters, in-laws, and grandchildren, with cremation arrangements handled by East Funeral Home-Downtown and no services scheduled yet.
