• Three Rivers boys mile relay returns to State track, breaks 28-year school record (kristv.com) — Three Rivers High School’s boys 4x400 relay is heading back to the UIL 2A State meet after finishing second at Region IV and breaking a 28-year-old school record, all without a home track during renovations. Led by seniors Corbin Zamzow and Diego Arvizu, the squad’s 3:22.73 time continues a family legacy of mile relay success for Three Rivers. 
• Possum Cop Don't Feed the Alligators (thecomanchechief.com) — A Three Rivers rancher once called game wardens about a people-fed alligator in his stock tank that would soon be part of Choke Canyon Reservoir, raising safety concerns for future lake visitors. The story recalls how local wardens in 1978 handled a much-bigger-than-reported gator with little more than ropes and grit, and why feeding alligators is now illegal.
