📰 News we're reading
• Laykon Brassfield Ruled Ineligible Over Residency Issue (texashsfootball.com) — A recent UIL eligibility ruling turned Lewisville's early-season football wins, including one over Trophy Club Byron Nelson, into forfeits because quarterback Laykon Brassfield didn't meet residency requirements. While the decision doesn't change district standings, it alters overall records and could impact playoff seeding, and Brassfield is expected to appeal as Lewisville ISD works with UIL on next steps.
