Victoria County road closure (crossroadstoday.com) — Drivers in Victoria County should plan around a full closure of Coletoville Road at the 3900 block on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for cross-pipe work. The closure, just north of Joe Beaver Road, will require motorists to use alternate routes and follow posted traffic signs.

The meeting at 102 Profit Drive also covers Chromebook purchases, bond-funded roof work, and campus improvement goals, with multiple chances for Victoria residents to speak directly to the board.
   

4. Friends of the Victoria Public Library book sale continues through Sunday (crossroadstoday.com) — You still have through Sunday to browse the Friends of the Victoria Public Library book sale and pick up low-cost reads while directly supporting local library programs. The sale offers a wide range of genres for all ages, and proceeds help fund activities and resources that promote reading and literacy for Victoria residents.
   

5. Texas Workforce Commission celebrates Adult Education and Family Literacy Week (crossroadstoday.com) — Adult learners in Victoria can tap into services at Victoria College and Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent during Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, Sept. 14–18. Programs range from high school completion and basic skills to career services and college prep, all aimed at strengthening local families' economic opportunities.
