Victoria College President supports expanded in-person presence at Texas A&M University-Victoria (crossroadstoday.com) — Victoria College President Jennifer Kent is backing Texas A&M University‑Victoria's push for more on-campus faculty time, saying it could keep more students in Victoria to finish four-year degrees. She envisions a stronger pipeline from local high schools through Victoria College to UHV, helping residents stay near jobs and family while boosting the Crossroads workforce.
3. Goliad, Victoria West set for high-level volleyball showdown (crossroadstoday.com) — Victoria West volleyball hosts powerhouse Goliad tonight in a non-district showdown that could be one of the Crossroads' best early-season matches. Country Music Legend Frankie Miller Dies at 95 (thecountrynote.com) — Country music singer Frankie Miller, a native of Victoria has died at 95 after a decades-long career highlighted by his hit "Blackland Farmer." He rose from early radio work in Victoria to national chart success, military service honors, and late-career recordings with Heart of Texas Records, leaving a large family and musical legacy.
