• Texas A&M Research Center Director Named (citrusindustry.net) — Leadership at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Weslaco is changing June 1, when longtime plant pathologist Kranthi Mandadi becomes director. He’ll oversee local research operations, funding efforts, and industry partnerships aimed at tackling major crop diseases and supporting South Texas agriculture. Mandadi has deep ties to Weslaco’s citrus research community and has led multimillion-dollar grant projects.
