New Alamo plaque unveiled on Wichita County courthouse steps (texomashomepage.com) ā Residents in Wichita Falls can now see a new bronze replica of William Barret Travisās famous Alamo letter on the steps of the Wichita County Courthouse. The plaque, part of a statewide Alamo Letter Society project, will soon be installed just inside the courthouse doors. 3. MSU Texas recognized by Gov. Wichita Falls man charged with solicitation of prostitution (texomashomepage.com) ā Law enforcement in Wichita Falls arrested local resident Harold Thompson after an undercover operation targeting online sex ads, charging him with solicitation of prostitution. Investigators say he agreed by text to pay for sex acts and sent explicit photos before being taken into custody at a prearranged meeting spot.
