Ex-Pastor Pleads Guilty In Prostitution Arrest
Eddie Hilburn, who resigned as associate pastor at The Woodlands First Baptist Church, was given a year of probation.

THE WOODLANDS, — A former staff member at The Woodlands First Baptist Church who was arrested in July on charges he solicited an undercover Harris County Sheriff’s deputy for sex, entered a guilty plea Monday morning.
Eddie Hilburn, who resigned as associate pastor shortly after his arrest, will serve a year on probation as part of his plea deal.
If he serves out his plea deal, his record will be clear of any conviction related to this case, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Hilburn, 53, was arrested on July 19 after he offered an undercover sheriff’s deputy $80 to perform sexual intercourse.

Hilburn appeared in court on July 20 and was released on bond.
Hilburn joined the staff at The Woodlands First Baptist Church in 2012, where he’d served for five years.
