Arrests Made After Car Crash At Naval Air Station Kingsville

A car filled with suspected undocumented immigrants is said to have crashed into the base, leading to injured passengers.

KINGSVILLE, TX -- Arrests have been made stemming from a crash into Naval Air Station Kingsville by a vehicle containing 15 people, officials said.

The incident occurred this past Saturday (May 14) when a vehicle suspected of containing undocumented immigrants headed toward the air station and crashed into the final barrier guarding the facility's perimeter.

Six of the passengers were injured and transported to an area hospital, one of them airlifted to a medical center in Corpus Christi, naval air station officials said.

The other passengers are currently in custody, officials at Naval Air Station Kingsville added.

The country of origin of the people in the vehicle has not been released, nor have the names of the people involved. The charges filed against those involved also have not been disclosed.
