WASHINGTON, DC — President Joe Biden grabbed attention for something much more fashionable than politics on Friday when he stepped out for a news conference rocking a summer-approved tan suit.

Deliberate or not, the choice of attire appeared to be a nod to former President Barack Obama just two days after the 44th president's 60th birthday.

Conveniently, it was also seven years ago to the month that Obama donned his own beige suit, sparking a non-scandal of such proportions it even got its own Wikipedia page.

Some called Obama's alleged fashion faux pas "unpresidential," though similar suits had been worn in the past by Presidents Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, according to GQ.

Among the beige naysayers was former Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, who slammed the choice, saying that suit showed a “lack of seriousness.”

“There’s no way I don’t think any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday,” King said of Obama, according to a report by The Hill.

Biden wore the suit as he spoke from the White House on July's jobs report.

The internet, however, noticed more than his remarks on dropping unemployment.

Once BBC News correspondent Tara McKelvey pointed it out, Twitter ran with it.

"Honestly, if @BarackObama doesn’t tweet 'Nice suit' with a picture of Biden in a tan suit, I’ll lose all faith in whoever’s running his accounts." -Brian Beutler

"Joe Biden is rocking the tan suit today and I swear if he pulls out a bottle Grey Poupon and dips Kale in it, I won’t stop smiling until 2032." -Tony Posnanski

"So, Biden wore a tan suit to deliver the good news of the jobs report like the A+ troller that he is..." -Amee Vanderpool

"Ok, it turns out you go on vacation for a couple days ... and they’ve got Biden in a tan suit." -Susan Glasser

Even broadcast icon Dan rather joined in.

In the end, there wasn't much outrage from conservatives this time around. It's not like Biden is accused of inciting an insurrection or anything.

Twitter, of course, noticed that, too.
