More Cucumbers Recalled In Salmonella Outbreak: Recall Roundup
Millions of Ford, Lincoln and Toyota vehicles have been recalled due to crash risks, and kitchen faucets are found to leach lead.

More cucumbers are being recalled in multiple states due to a salmonella outbreak across 15 states that has sicked 26 people and hospitalized nine.
The cucumbers grown by Florida-based Bedner Growers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales were voluntarily recalled in the first notice on May 19 that concerned produce sold directly at Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market. » Go here for more information.
Multiple companies and grocery stores buying cucumbers from Bedner’s have since initiated recalls for ready-to-eat salads, veggie plate, sushi and other foods. Some of the grocery stores include Kroger and its affiliated grocery stores, Walmart and Harris-Teeter. » Go here for more information.

Popular Beef Stew Recalled
More than 250,000 pounds of Dinty Moore Beef Stew have been recalled because they may be contaminated with wood chips, according to the U.S. Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
At least three people who ate the stew called the store where they bought it to complain about the pieces of wood, the notice said.

The manufacturer, Tucker, Georgia-based Hormel Foods Corp., said the recall involves 256,185 pounds of beef stew produced on Feb. 4, 2025. The stew was shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The stew was sold in 20-ounce cans with the establishment number EST 199G, a best-by date of February 2028, and lot code “T02045” printed on the can. The lot code may have an additional number at the end. » View label.
Acknowledging the three consumer complaints, Hormel said there have been no reports of injuries or illnesses. Anyone concerned about an injury should see the doctor, the FSIS said.
Consumers who bought the affected Dinty Moore Beef Stew should dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund, the agency said. » Go here for more information.
Aldi Product Has ‘Life-Threatening’ Allergen
A frozen seafood product sold at Aldi stores in three U.S. states has been recalled due to an undeclared allergen that puts people who are allergic or have a severe sensitivity to soy at risk, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Santa Monica Seafood, based in Rancho Dominguez, California, is voluntarily recalling its 16-ounce packages of Atlantic salmon portions with seafood stuffing after discovering that the product contains soy, a common allergen, which is not listed on the label.
The labeling issue was discovered during a routine inspection of label proofs following a completed production batch, according to the company. The affected salmon was distributed to Aldi stores in Arizona, California, and Nevada. » Go here for more details.
Listeria Possible In Smoked Sausage
Louisiana-based Bourgeois Smokehouse is recalling ready-to-eat smoked andouille sausage sold at grocery stores across three states due to a possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the U.S. Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The sausage was sold at Rouses Market locations in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi starting May 13. About 100 pounds of sausage are subject to recall. The potential contamination was discovered during routine food testing, which returned a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes.

Glitch In These Cars Could Cause A Crash
Ford is recalling more than 1 million vehicles in the U.S. because of a potentially dangerous software defect that could cause rearview camera displays to freeze or disappear while drivers are backing up. At least one crash has been linked to the issue, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall includes 13 different Ford and Lincoln models that are equipped with "SYNC4" software. Certain versions of Ford’s “infotainment” system can glitch, causing the system to reset unexpectedly, resulting in a frozen or black infotainment screen. » Go here fore more information.
Hidden Defect Increases Crash Risk
Toyota is recalling about half a million of its full-size pickup trucks because of a design flaw that can cause both reverse lights to fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall affects approximately 443,000 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles from model years 2022 through 2025, the company said.
If the reverse lights stop working, drivers may not have adequate visibility when backing up in dark conditions, and other drivers or pedestrians may not realize the vehicle is moving in reverse. » Go here for more information.
Bed Rails Recalled Over Death Risk
About 94,800 WeHwupe Adult Portable Bed Rails sold online by Amazon and Walmart from September 2023 through January 2025 have been recalled because they pose a “serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation,” according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The bed rails sold for between $33 and $43.
When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, the agency said. At least one fall has been reported. Replacement rails are available. » Go here for more information.

These Faucets Found To Leach Lead
Several brands of kitchen faucets sold by Amazon have been recalled because they have been found to leach lead, which can cause irreversible neurological damage in infants and young children, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Lead ingestion has been linked to a range of neurological problems, including attention-related behavioral problems, decreased cognitive performance and lower IQ. No amount of lead ingestion is safe.
The affected products are:
- About 29,000 VFAUOSIT Kitchen Faucets, model number 06BNV, sold for about $40 from January 2024 through May 2025.
- About 50,000 KICIMPRO Kitchen Faucets, model number KM800-01-06BN, sold for about $35 from January 2024 through May 2025.
- About 24,000 BASDEHEN Kitchen Faucets, model number CFDTTH-000-YGH, sold from for about $30 from May 2024 through May 2025.
