Slack Is Back: After Outage, Work Messaging System Returns

Slack tweeted it was having some "issues" on the company's end. Around noon, the messaging system returned.

SAN FRANCISCO — After an hour long outage, Slack has returned.

The company tweeted that everything should in "working order again."

Slack previously tweeted Monday that the popular work messaging app had experienced "issues" on the company's side.

"We're having some issues on our end right now and our operations team are working on it," Slack wrote. "Sincere apologies for the disruption this may cause!"

Some users who tried to send messages discovered they were unable. After pressing send, the app returned the message: "Slack couldn’t send this message."

A giant, bold message on Slack's system status page said: "We’re looking into an issue."

Some workspaces were experiencing issues with messages sending and loading, the company confirmed around 11 a.m.

Affected workers took to Twitter to express frustrations.
