A Bridgeport man is facing charges after authorities conducted a search and seizure warrant at his apartment, seizing firearms, narcotics and cash, State Police said.
Detectives conducted surveillance on an apartment in the 180 block of Hanover Street on June 13 after receiving intelligence that the resident, 29-year-old William Akeem Hooks, was trafficking assault rifles and other firearms that were being obtained from southern states along the east coast, police said.
According to a press release, while authorities conducted surveillance, they saw Hooks selling a firearm and later saw Hooks leaving the residence in a vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Hooks was arrested without incident, at which time he was found to be in possession of 1 gram of ‘Crack’ Cocaine, marijuana, and $1,320 in cash.
