Weekend Crime Roundup: Car Break-ins, Tip Jar Heist

Friday, March 18

  • A bicycle was reported stolen on Beaconsfield Road after its lock was severed with bolt cutters. In its place was another bike, not belonging to the person who filed the report.
  • A shoplifting was reported at a business on Beacon Street. The alleged perpetrator was caught and will appear in court.
  • A work crew on Linden Place reported their tools stolen. Police searched the area and took a report.

Friday, March 19

  • Two cars were broken into on University Road, thought to have occurred the previous night. Both vehicles were unlocked at the time.

  • A package was stolen from a home on Stearns Road.
  • A man was arrested on Harvard Street after stealing from a tip jar at a local business. Police located the man as he was walking away and placed him under arrest.
