Yankee Candle Recalls 6 Candles in Luminous Collection

The Yankee Candle Company has voluntarily recalled six candles from its luminous candles collection after receiving feedback that when the candle is lit its glass jar may crack, posing a laceration hazard, the company said.

Anyone who may have purchased the candle can return it to the nearest Yankee Candle retail location to get a full refund and a free candle of choice for the inconvenience.

The following six types of candles are subject to the recall:

Item Number: 1535894, UPC Code: 886860574048, Fragrance: Cinnamon & Cedar

"At Yankee Candle we pride ourselves on having the highest standards of quality," the company said in a statement. "Out of an abundance of caution and a firm commitment to safety, we have decided to request the immediate return of all Luminous Collection candles."

The recall was announced in conjunction with the Consumer Products Safety Commission.
