Capt Rachael J. Mercer, CAP, is a five-year member of Civil Air Patrol and serves at the state level as the Public Affairs Officer for the South Carolina Wing of Civil Air Patrol. She is the 2018 National Civil Air Patrol Public Affairs Officer of the Year. As the SCWG PAO, she represents 16 squadrons throughout the state, advising them on public affairs matters and sharing their stories--from the lowcountry to the midlands and the upstate of South Carolina!
