<p>Curious what daily life actually looks like for a family at Washington Waldorf School? Join us for a candid virtual conversation with two current parents at our school as they share their personal experience of the joys of and adjustments to being part of the WWS community.</p>
<p>Whether you’re considering enrollment in our early childhood or elementary school programs, already part of our community, or simply want a real parent’s perspective, this is your chance to ask anything. How do families navigate limited screen time at home? What does the transition from a more traditional kindergarten or elementary school look like? How has Waldorf education shaped their child’s development — and their own parenting? No question is off-limits.</p>
<p>We’ll start with a quick virtual tour of our elementary school and early childhood spaces and have plenty of time for Q&amp;A.</p>

Fireman's Field Complex, 250 S. Nursery Ave., Purcellville, VA, 20132

<p>The annual Purcellville Wine and Food Festival returns on Saturday, July 18, in Dillon’s Woods at the historic Fireman’s Field Complex (250 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville). The festival will take place from 2 to 8 p.m., inviting guests to gather with family and friends for an afternoon and evening of local wine, beer, food, live music, art, and more.</p>
<p>This year’s event will showcase 40 vendors, including wineries, breweries, food and snack vendors, and local exhibitors. Enjoy live music performances by the Rick Reaves Band, The Darby Brothers, and the Franklin Park Big Band. The “Arts in the Garden” section, hosted by the Purcellville Arts Council, will highlight local artists who will create works of art live on-site. Additional activities include face painting and a photo stand-in booth. </p>
<p>Early bird ticket pricing is available through 5 p.m. on July 17:<br>
• Early bird admission (ages 17 and over): $5 (+ tax)<br>
• Early bird drink tickets (6 oz wine or 12 oz beer): $8.50 (+ tax)<br>
• Early bird drink ticket package: 4 tickets for $32 (+ tax)<br>
• Early bird bottle of wine purchase: $35 (+ tax), available from participating wineries (bottles must be consumed on-site)</p>
<p>A souvenir glass will be provided with the purchase of the first drink ticket. Save time and money by purchasing your tickets in advance. </p>
<p>The popular VIP experience returns for $275 (+ tax) and includes admission for six, a reserved table for six, three bottles of local wine, six souvenir glasses, six drink tickets, early entry to the festival, special commemorative gifts, and a selection of sweets and savories for the table. </p>

<p>Visiting from Los Angeles, John Conroy, brings an everyman's attitude to smart, sharply written material that runs the gamut from shrewd observations to social satire<br>John made a rapid transition from opener to headliner, playing hundreds of shows each year and touring the top clubs throughout the country and working with the biggest names in the business. Conroy is a jovial iconoclast whose good-humored but aggressive act makes a lasting impression.</p>

<p>Adam Freesman has been featured on Nate Bargatzes Nateland Live in Nashville and has appeared at renowned venues around the country including The Comedy Store, Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club, The Stand, Second City, Capital One Hall and The Lyric Theater.</p>
<p>He regularly opens for Modi Rosenfeld and Kristin Key and clubs and theaters, and also often works with other touring acts including Geoffrey Asmus, Usama Siddiquee and Raanan Hershberg to name a few.</p>
<p><strong><strong>ALEC QUINN</strong></strong></p>
<p>Alec is an up-and-coming comedian who is making her mark by joking about her unique experiences with her background in paleontology and more. She is remembered for having a memorable perspective and keeping a room engaged. She has performed all over the east coast including the DC Improv, DC Comedy Loft, the Port Comedy Club, Hotbed, Room 808, and Rodney’s Comedy Club. She has hosted for Jourdain Fisher and Autumn Brewer. Alec runs her own late night comedy show in DC called X Marks the Spot. She somehow became the cover model for the 2026 national paleontology calendar.</p>
<p><strong><strong>PETE BERGEN</strong></strong></p>
<p>He may look and sound gruff but he is a big bear of a sweetheart. You’ll love his take on his own sordid history and observations in general. He has opened for and performed with some great folks like Patton Oswalt, Rory Scovel, Bobcat Goldthwait, Annie Lederman, David Koechner, Kelsey Cook, Annie Lederman, Alonso Bodden and more while featuring and headlining some great venues like the DC Improv (DC), Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (VA), Magooby’s Joke House (MD), Nicks Comedy Stop (Boston), Governors (NY), Church Of Satire (PA) and The Drafthouse Comedy Theater (DC). He is also in recovery and is in demand for 12 step conventions all over. You may recognize Pete from his numerous appearances on Investigation Discovery shows or from his episode on the classic Americas Most Wanted. He always plays a cop because, well, look at him. Pete can also be seen as a contributor on local panel shows “Like It Or Not” and “The Final 5”, both on Fox 5 DC, offering up humorous takes on the days events.</p>

<p>Anything Goes (2022 Revision) is a vibrant, dance-heavy version of Cole Porter's classic musical about romance and mistaken identities aboard the S.S. American, following stowaway Billy Crocker's quest to win heiress Hope Harcourt from her stuffy fiancé, with help from singer Reno Sweeney and gangster "Moonface" Martin, all set to iconic songs like "You're the Top" and the title track, with the 2022 revision updating the book for modern audiences and boosting its dance numbers. </p>
<p>This version of Anything Goes was adapted from the 1987 Broadway revival, originally produced by Lincoln Center Theater.</p>
