Join us for a special gathering in the salt cave to experience the combined healing energies of Reiki and Roses.For centuries, the rose has been regarded as a symbol of love, beauty, and spiritual devotion. Beyond its symbolism however, the rose is also believed to hold one of the highest vibrational frequencies among flowers, often cited at 320 MHz, making it a powerful ally for emotional and energetic healing.In this intimate gathering we will work with the gentle medicine of the rose to open the heart, soften emotional tension, and reconnect with our deeper intelligence within.The evening will begin with a rose tea ritual, inviting the body and nervous system to slow down while we bring the essence of the rose into our energy field. From there, you will be guided through a meditation accompanied by Reiki energy healing, allowing the frequency of the rose to support the release of emotional weight and blocked energy.The session will conclude with quiet journaling time, offering space to integrate your experience and connect with any insights that arise.All participants will receive fresh roses to work with during the experience and take home afterward.This experience is designed to support:- Emotional balance and heart healing - The processing of grief, loss, or heartbreak - Releasing feelings of shame, guilt, or stored emotional tension - Reconnecting with the Divine Feminine within - Transmuting stagnant or blocked energy into clarity and softnessLimited Space Available.

The Acton Historical Society invites you to tour the 1760 Jonathan Hosmer House and to view a collection of artifacts associated with Acton's history. Also on the property is an 1830's barn with an exhibit of agricultural tools, including an early fire pump and horse-drawn sleigh and farm wagon. Admission is free with donations accepted. Parking is ample and available on the premises.

The Concord Orchestra presents “The Heavenly Life” at 8:00pm on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 at 2:30pm at the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden. The orchestra, conducted by Music Director Zeke Fetrow, performs Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 with Ann Moss as soprano soloist. A pre-concert talk is scheduled for 7:15pm on Saturday.
Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 is a comparatively short work, lasting less than an hour. The final movement of the symphony is a song “The Heavenly Life”with orchestral accompaniment, sung by a soprano. The words, which come from German folk poetry, are about a child’s naïve view of heaven.
In the three movements that lead up to this song, there are many pleasant tunes and the cozy sound of sleigh bells, but there are disquieting passages as well. For example, the second movement is a lively scherzo, but the principal violin plays an eerie solo that represents the devil’s fiddle. The moving third movement contrasts the serenity of heaven with the struggles of earthly life.
Soprano Ann Moss is an acclaimed recording artist, chamber musician, and champion of living composers. She has been a featured soloist with San Francisco Symphony, SF Chamber Orchestra, UC Berkeley Symphony, SF Contemporary Music Players, Music of Remembrance, and the Ives, Alexander, Lydian and Hausmann String Quartets.
