RAINBOW GIRLS The Rainbow Girls are an eclectic folk, Americana, and indie-rock trio from Northern California, featuring core members Erin Chapin, Caitlin Gowdey, and Vanessa May. Known for their soul-touching four-part harmonies and a “stomp-folk” sound, the multi-instrumentalists easily switch between guitars, ukulele, accordion, harmonica, and percussion during their energetic live shows.
The group was formed in 2010 at an underground open mic called “Bean Night” in Isla Vista, California. Living together in a dorm known as the “Rainbow House” near the University of California, Santa Barbara, the band initially started as a collective of female musicians before evolving into a trio. They honed their grassroots following by busking on the streets of Europe and playing at local farmers’ markets before eventually relocating to the countryside just north of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Known to describe themselves as “a gang of sweet angels punching you in the heart,” the Rainbow Girls prioritize community, resilience, and genuine audience connection. “Play on, there’s no such thing as better days,” Damien Jurado sings on “Roger,” the sweeping wash of a song that opens Reggae Film Star, his 18th full length album and second release from Jurado’s own Maraqopa Records label. But as he enters his 25th year as a recording artist, it’s clear these are, at the least, very good days for Jurado on the creative front. In these 12 songs, which evoke half-recalled dreams and overheard conversations, the cosmic rushes headlong into the autobiographical and specific moments on the clock fade from past to future to scenes set only in the eternal now. Playing out like a backlot documentary filmed on the location of an unnamed TV or film set—maybe a sitcom taping, or perhaps it’s a low budget science fiction B-movie, or could it be a talk show?—the album is populated by performers awaiting call times, camera operators praying for their shot, and studio audiences rapt with anticipation. The stars here eschew glitz and glamor. Instead, they wander grocery stores and parking lots in the verdant Pacific Northwest and the desert Southwest, looking for payphones and a sense of purpose. Produced by Jurado with multi-instrumentalist Josh Gordon and recording engineer Alex Bush at Sonikwire studio in Irvine,CA, Jurado’s home away from home and musical headquarters, the record’s compositions are among the most musically rich in his vast discography, encompassing romantic AM gold, ‘60s psychedelia, driving rock &amp; roll, Latin shuffles, and left of the dial ambiance. Strings swell, melodic bass bubbles, and piano sparkles, undergirding Jurado’s unmistakable voice, at once intimately present and ghostly, grounded in the here and now but capable, at any moment, of drifting off into the divinatory. Her sultry voice delivers a variety of musical styles with honest and heartfelt energy. Kyley is joined by the High Mountain Flyers (the “High MF’ers”). On guitar, Mark Fuller, lead, and Mark Chester on rhythm guitar. Joined by JD Smith on electric bass. All three MF’ers are vocalists and songwriters as well. Known for his inventive writing style and playful persona, Joe grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, and started his comedy career in North Carolina after graduating Davidson College. In 2012, he moved to New York City, which quickly led to appearances on The Late Late Show and John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, and his resume has since grown to include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan on TBS, Last Comic Standing, his own Comedy Central Half Hour.
Joe’s first solo album Smiling at Wolves reached number two on iTunes, and Paste Magazine named him one of 10 best comedians from the south. His second album, Innocence, is played regularly on Sirius XM radio, and in 2019 he recorded a Dry Bar special with 1.5 million views on YouTube.
His first one-hour special, Cult Classic, came out on Hulu in 2023. It was directed by Nate Bargatze, filmed live at The Grey Eagle in Asheville, and The Comedy Bureau called it “one of the best specials of the year”.

ROSS HOLLOW WITH FULL BAND Ross Hollow is an indie folk artist out of Asheville, North Carolina rooted in honest lyricism, inviting melodies and a rugged spirit of individualism. Founded by singer-songwriter and producer Stuart Ross Johnson-Kwochka, Ross Hollow has come full circle: from its beginnings as a solo act, to a full band, and now back to its core with Stuart Ross at the helm, writing and recording from a quiet corner in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ross Hollow’s music is as much about place as it is about people. Born in the high desert of Roswell, New Mexico, his earliest memories are steeped in the sounds of Spanish folk, cowboy ballads, and classic country—music that echoed under wide-open skies, thunderstorms you could see miles away, and sun-drenched plains. He later moved to Burnsville, North Carolina, where Appalachian gospel, bluegrass, and Scots-Irish folk music left their mark. As an artist, Lowen channels that same instinct for emotionally resonant storytelling into raw, soul-searching indie rock—pairing a powerhouse voice with unguarded lyrics, gritty guitars, and songs built to make you feel something. A seasoned live performer who has shared stages with artists including Brandi Carlile, Matchbox Twenty, and Edwin McCain, Lowen makes music that lives somewhere between catharsis, connection, and a really good scream with the windows down. Make/Believe is the brainchild and new adventure of New Orleans-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter and producer Nicholas William. Blending timeless songwriting with alternative, indie, blues, rock elements, his NOLA roots, synesthetic textures, a vivid imagination, Nicholas turns rooms of strangers into a shared experience—where storytelling, spontaneity, and song blur the line between artist and audience, between performance and confession. Fully Seated Show Widespread Rotary Event: The Earth Will Swallow You Watch Party
The Grey Eagle is proud to present a screening of the only rock n roll documentary of beloved rockers, Widespread Panic. The Earth will Swallow You, shot primarily in the summer of 2000 and early 2001 by Chris and Geoff Hanson, gained critical acclaim in the jam-band world for it’s behind the scenes portrayals of one of rock n roll’s stalwarts. Celebrating their 40th year in 2026, fans continue to flock to their shows.
A local Rotary Club wanted to have a charitable event while showing the film. We’re more than happy to oblige and are excited that filmmaker Chris Hanson will be here to discuss it.

It’s place and perspective that drive 23-year-old musician Noah Rinker’s sound. It propels his lyricism and informs his entire point of view. Growing up in the mountains of California, he found song wherever he could. He picked up the guitar at 14, learning to play it like a lap steel because he assumed the fretboard might work the same way a keyboard did. At 16, he wrote his first song. But it was “leaving for sessions with other collaborators that made me realize that home was the thing that made me who I was all along.”
You see that connection between song and soul in his videos: Noah, a guitar, and the place he grew up. Sometimes you’ll see the mountains sprawled out behind him as he plays; other times, he’s cloaked in darkness, only lit by a crackling campfire. NOAH RINKER It’s place and perspective that drive 23-year-old musician Noah Rinker’s sound. It propels his lyricism and informs his entire point of view. Growing up in the mountains of California, he found song wherever he could. He picked up the guitar at 14, learning to play it like a lap steel because he assumed the fretboard might work the same way a keyboard did. At 16, he wrote his first song. But it was “leaving for sessions with other collaborators that made me realize that home was the thing that made me who I was all along.” You see that connection between song and soul in his videos: Noah, a guitar, and the place he grew up. Sometimes you’ll see the mountains sprawled out behind him as he plays; other times, he’s cloaked in darkness, only lit by a crackling campfire.
