<p>Sketch comedy takes over the DC Improv lounge showroom! While entertaining the DMV for a decade, Bad Medicine has also been showcasing around the country. Now they're bringing in some of their favorite sketch comedy performers from DC and beyond, presenting them in DC's top comedy spot.</p>

They are forever bonded by their love of basketball despite having never played the game and barely understanding the rules. One thing they do understand is sketch comedy. Spoucho seamlessly blends their sharp wit with silly characters to create a sketch show that satisfactorily ties everything together by the end of the show in a cute, thematic bow. When these all-stars hit the stage, they'll break comedy ankles and you'll be calling a time-out...so you can catch your breath! And guess what? Not laughing is a foul because every sketch is a slam dunk!</p>

<p>Sunny@Midnight (Jeff Smith and Sherry Stewart) return to Cafe Sazon (4704 Columbia Pike) for their monthly residency this Saturday June 27th. Showtime is 7:00 pm and they will be joined by their bandmates Ron Goad (percussion), John Werntz (upright bass) and Marcy Cochran (fiddle). Acclaimed local singer-songwriter Rob Gould will open the show will open, Gould has been honored by the Washington Area Music Association and has placed highly in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. This is a no cover show but donations are accepted on behalf of the performers.<br></p>
<p>Jeff Smith is a musical raconteur, whose poetic lyrics paint common experiences and filtered memories with a tender or playful brush. Singing in a honey-drenched Appalachian drawl, multi-instrumentalist Smith lays down a brew of what he calls a funky kind of country blues folk pop rock stomp.</p>
<p>Sherry Stewart writes songs about people, places and things that have left an impression on her. Themes often evoke nature and leave the listener with a sense of longing only heightened by her angelic voice and vocal harmonies. She accompanies herself on mandolin, guitar, and flute whether she is playing solo or with others.</p>
