Caroline Jones is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter who has collaborated or recorded with Jimmy Buffet, Eagles, Faith Hill, OneRepublic, Jake Owen, Matthew Ramsey of Old Dominion, Trisha Yearwood, Country Music Hall of Fame member-elect Tim McGraw and Country Music Hall of Fame members Kenny Chesney and Vince Gill. After opening several tours for the Zac Brown Band and touring with the band as a special guest member, Jones became an official member of the group in 2022. As a solo act, Jones has recently been headlining shows in the U.S. in support of her newest album, Good Omen.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum writer-editor Erin Osmon will discuss her new book, "Won’t Back Down: Heartland Rock and the Fight for America," during a book talk. Osmon will discuss the story of heartland rock,and acclaimed singer-songwriterStephen Wilson Jr., who grew up in John Mellencamp's hometown, Seymour, Indiana, will perform. The museum's writer-editor Allison Moorer will lead the discussion. 

Heartland rock — the soundtrack of grocery stores, pool halls, bowling alleys, flea markets, drug stores and political rallies — which ruled radio airwaves in the 1980s, is inescapable even today. Osmon’s new book, "Won’t Back Down: Heartland Rock and the Fight for America," tells the story of the origins, chart-topping development, and tangled legacy of this music, which remains instantly recognizable to millions. Her account of heartland rock’s glory days delves into the making of its classic albums and songs, such as Bob Seger’s Against the Wind, Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever and Bruce Springsteen’s numerous hits, as well as the centrality of often-overlooked women such as Melissa Etheridge and Bonnie Raitt. Osmon also traces the genre’s connections to country and Americana music and explores the social, political and cultural developments that fostered the genre.

Singer-songwriter Jack Schneider plays guitar in Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill’s touring band. As a duo, he and Gill opened for the Eagles on their 2024 tour, The Long Goodbye. Schneider released his debut solo album, Best Be on My Way, in 2022, the same year he made his solo debut at the Grand Ole Opry, where he often joins Gill as an instrumentalist. He released a second solo album, Streets of September, in 2025. Schneider has also opened shows for Gordon Lightfoot, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Country Music Hall of Fame member Ricky Skaggs and toured with Tommy Emannuel.

Wendy Moten’s voice has been both a steady support and the star of the show at different points in her career. The Memphis native grew up singing in church and attended Overton High School, where she sang in the school’s famed competition choir, led by Lulah Hedgeman. A professional singer by 16, signed with EMI to release her self-titled debut album in 1992. Her singles "Come in Out of the Rain" and "So Close to Love" charted in the United States and the United Kingdom. Moten continued work as a backup singer, first with Spanish star Julio Iglesias for 15 years, then for Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Country Music Hall of Fame member-elect Tim McGraw. In recent years, she has served as a featured singer on Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill’s tours. In studio sessions, Moten has lent her voice to recordings by a diverse group of artists, including Country Music Hall of Fame member Garth Brooks, Buddy Guy, Thomas Rhett, Joss Stone, Carrie Underwood and many others. In the early 2020s, she took a risk and tried out for the NBC singing competition "The Voice," on which she was chosen to be part of coach Blake Shelton’s team and finished the season as the runner-up. The museum’s writer-editor Jon Freeman will host this program, which will be illustrated with photos, film, and recordings. After the program, Moten will sign commemorative Hatch Show Print posters.

Red Camel Collective is a North Carolina-based bluegrass group featuring multi-instrumentalists and singers Johnathan Dillon, Curt Love, Heather Berry Mabe and Tony Mabe. The group received the International Bluegrass Music Association’s New Artist of the Year award in 2025, and lead singer Heather Berry Mabe won the IBMA Momentum Vocalist of the Year award in 2024. All four musicians are also members of the Junior Sisk Band. Program is supported by the Segal Bluegrass Collective.
