Health care leaders, educators, technologists and policymakers will gather for a breakfast panel and innovation showcase exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping health care while keeping human connection at the center of care.
The event will cover practical uses of AI, emerging ethical and regulatory considerations, and the importance of a human-in-the-loop approach to patient safety, accountability and compassionate care.
Featured speakers are Dr. Rohit Bhalla, senior vice president and chief clinical and quality officer at Stamford Health; Patricia Simino Boyce, dean of Fairfield University’s Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing &amp; Health Studies; health care attorney Jennifer Cox; and Sumit Sajnani, Connecticut’s health information technology officer.
Attendees can also meet representatives from health care AI and technology companies and explore emerging tools designed to support providers, improve operational efficiency, strengthen care coordination and enhance the patient experience.
The Patient Is U, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening empathy, dignity and compassion across the health care system, is presenting the event. It is being held in memory of Claudio Pannuzzio, chairman of the organization’s board.

Summer vacation season may now be over, but for anyone still looking to enjoy a weekly mini-getaway from the busyness of everyday life, Trumbull Congregational Church has the perfect answer.
In response to popular demand, the church has renewed its “Wellness Wednesdays at TCC” series, which features a variety of different activities aimed at addressing the mind, body and spirit. The secular programs, which are scheduled through December 16, take place at the church at 3115 Reservoir Avenue and are open to all members of the community, with no prior experience required for any of the activities.
“The overall objective of this series is to enable participants to take a pause, unwind and connect with one another,” says Kirsten Nestro, a Trauma-informed Certified Instructor in Mindfulness Meditation who will again be leading four of the sessions. “By giving attendees the chance to relax, learn and be creative, we hope they will leave feeling lighter and refreshed.”
The sessions, which all begin at 6 p.m., will run either one or two hours and cost between $10 and $65, depending on the activity. 1. Drive up to the truck and a Rotarian will remove the shredding items from your car and deliver them directly to the shredding truck. You can stay and watch or simply drive away. Shredding occurs on location!
