Wyck Historic House, Garden, and Farm, Neighbor

Wyck was home to one of the original 13 families that settled the "Old German Township" from Krefeld Germany. Wyck served as the same ancestral home to the Wistar-Haines family for over nine generations! Today, the Wyck Association connects this family and its rich history to our community through programs that focus on history, horticulture, and urban agriculture, using the past as inspiration for the future. We are maximizing the role that our 2.5-acre, 323-year-old site can play in the life of a 21st-century urban neighborhood, using our buildings, landscape, and collections to provide educational, cultural, and nutritional resources for our local community as well as visitors.
