<b>Bio:  </b>I&#39;ve been a journalist for more than 20 years, most of them at The Star-Ledger, where I was a reporter and online editor. Since 1999, I&#39;ve lived in the Mount Tabor section of Parsippany with my husband and two children, who attend public school.

At the Ledger, I covered local news and later worked as a features writer, covering everyone from Miley Cyrus to authors like Philip Roth and Junot Diaz. I also wrote stories on the Hunterdon couple who named their son Adolf Hitler and factory workers at the Johns-Manville asbestos plant.

Before that, I  freelanced for The Morning Call in Allentown, PA, where I reviewed concerts  shunned by staff critics during the glory days of hair metal. I&#39;m sure by now they bitterly regret missing that Ratt/Poison show.

At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. 

<b>Politics  </b>Everyone deserves th<b>e</b> right to pursue happiness and fulfill their potential, no matter who they are or how much money they have. So whatever laws or leaders are trying to accomplish that, I&#39;m for them. 

<strong>Are you registered with a certain party</strong>? Democrat. But I sometimes agree with moderate Republicans.<br><b> </b>

<b>Religion</b><br>Lapsed Episcopalian. For the past three years, I&#39;ve been vowing to join the Unitarian Church but instead I sleep in and read the paper on Sundays.<br><b><br>Local Hot-Button Issues</b><br>Cuts in funding for district schools, lower revenue for township services. 

<strong>Where do I stand on each of these issues</strong>? In a recession, no one wants to spend money. But I wish my third grade son could attend his school library every week instead of every other week, like he did when we had a bigger district budget. In terms of township services, I would hate to have garbage collection once a week instead of twice.<br><br><b><br></b>
