Help support MAAP's work and our unhoused neighbors while shopping sustainably for a new summer wardrobe!
MAAP holds twice annual Tag Sale Fundraisers in the Spring and Fall. The sales take place across the driveway from MAAP in the Friends Room of the Friends Meeting at Cambridge and includes clothing that is of good to new quality and is not of use to MAAP community members (pieces that need to be dry cleaned or are otherwise costly to maintain) as well as vintage and designer clothing, finer housewares, antiques, and jewelry. Some items that do not sell and are practical are put out in our free store for MAAP community members, while other items are saved for the next sale. Proceeds from the Tag Sale make up 10% of MAAP's annual budget.
What you can find at the sale:
- A curated selection of vintage clothing from the 1930-1990's in impeccable condition including vintage Levi's jackets and jeans, Pendleton and LL Bean Flannels, fancy furs, adorable dresses and much more!
- "Premium" and designer gently used clothing from labels including Eileen Fisher, Marimekko, Marcy by Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Boden, FLAX, Harve Bernard, Lilith, Tory Burch and many more!
- Gently used and new contemporary clothing from labels such as: Ann Taylor, J.Crew, Madewell, Joe's Jeans, Free People, Lululemon, Banana Republic and many more!
- Gently used handbags from labels including: Marimekko, Chanel, Coach, Longchamp, and beautiful vintage handbags and clutches.
- Shoes from labels including Ferragamo (typically a dozen or so pairs), Frye, Prada, Stuart Weitzman and many more!
- Costume jewelry as well as some finer pieces
- Housewares including mid-century glassware, Portuguese and Mexican pottery, pottery (including pieces by Cape Cod Pottery and Vermont artisans), mid-century modern china, danish serveware, English china, glassware and serveware suited for hosting parties, vintage kitchen items, vintage lace linens and doilies, bolts of upholstery fabric, beautiful silk and African fabrics, bric a brac and much more!
Most clothing is under $30 (with the exception of leather jackets and a few other designer pieces)

- Cash, Checks, and Debit/Credit via Stripe are accepted. Please remember to bring your reusable bags! If you forget, we will have limited paper shopping bags on hand.
- We will ask that you wear masks for COVID-19 safety. We will have extra surgical masks on hand for anyone who may need one.
- There is metered parking on Brattle Street, Mt.Auburn Street and non-metered along the nearby side streets (some residential streets are open to anyone on weekends but please be sure to mind the signs). We have parking for people with disabilities in our parking lot and have a ramp entrance. Please text or call (617)876-5312 if you need any assistance with accessing our space.

This series offers a chance to step out of that cycle.
Each week, we’ll explore practical methods from Buddhist meditation that help us develop greater clarity, emotional balance, and a more thoughtful way of responding to life. The emphasis is simple: how to take timeless wisdom and apply it in a modern, urban setting.

About the Teacher 
Gen Kelsang Khedrub is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston, with nearly 30 years of experience presenting meditation and Buddhist psychology in a way that is clear, grounded, and easy to apply.

Kadampa Meditation Center Boston

Constant stimulation and mental busyness can leave us feeling exhausted without even realizing it.
This beginner-friendly silent retreat offers a chance to slow down, unplug, and deeply reset through guided meditation, practical teachings, and quiet reflection. The day is carefully guided and designed to feel accessible and supportive - even if you’ve never attended a retreat before.
What to expect:

Gen Kelsang Khedrub is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston. He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 30 years. Gen Khedrub has served as a Resident Teacher in Chicago and in Seattle, and over the years he has taught special events and led meditation retreats around the country. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone.
