Mr. Feldt, is the owner of <b><b>Samurai Karate Studio</b></b> and is a certified black belt who has been training in the martial arts for nearly 10 years. Karate truly has been a life changing experience for him! <br><br><i>"I opened my school, so that I could make a difference in the lives of children and adults and share my passion of the martial art's," comments Feldt, "Participating in the martial art's can be a "life changing" experience for many students and my goal is to help as many children and adults as possible achieve success in and out of the dojo!" </i>
<br><b>Professional Experience</b><br><br>Sensei Feldt was an adjunct instructor at the<strong> University of South Carolina</strong>, teaching college credit courses in karate and self defense for several semesters.
He has taught hundreds of children non violent anti-bullying strategies in the local schools as well as stranger danger.
In addition to his martial arts experience, Mr. Feldt is a Boston College graduate and has an extensive sales and marketing background, buying and selling a wide range of consumer products. He has traveled extensively in the Far East. <br> <br>He is married and has three sons.<b> </b><b> </b>
<b>Affiliations -- </b><b>National</b><br><br>Sensei Feldt is a member of <b>The 100</b> and <b>The Ultimate Black Belt Test</b>. Both programs were created by instructor, mentor and friend, Tom Callos, who has over 40 years experience teaching and training in the martial arts. <br><br>The UBBT is for martial artist master instructors who truly want to make a difference in the world and inspire others. The test represents physical, mental and spiritual challenges including 50,000 push-ups, crunches and jump ropes, 1,000 acts of kindness, 1,000 repetitions of a form, 50 hours of Ju-Jutsu training, 1,000 hours of sparring or grappling, 1,000 mile bike/walk/run, 10 community service projects, 6,000 minutes of meditation, weekly journaling and writing.<br> <br>As part of his school's mission, to date, some of the projects <b>Samurai Karate Studio</b> has participated in, include raising money for an Alabama house build, the Red Cross, Project Pet, Sister Care, a domestic violence shelter, a child with brain cancer, Project Action, collected over 1,000 pounds of food for Harvest Hope Food Bank, completed several clean-up projects in the Columbia north east area, manned an aid station for bikers participating in the Tour De Cure Diabetes fundraiser challenge, worked at Sesqui Park and provided multiple FREE community workshops on self defense for women!

<b>Samurai Karate Studio</b> is also a member of Columbia Karate United, an association of the top local martial art's schools in the greater Columbia area. This group of school owners is “dedicated to empowering youth through an effective martial arts self-defense and leadership program to develop self-confidence, self-discipline, safety and physical fitness in order for each child to reach his or her highest potential in life.
