Christina Paciolla, Patch Staff

Christina has been a professional reporter in South Jersey for about seven years. She graduated from Rowan University with a journalism degree. After college, Christina landed a job as the editor-in-chief of a weekly newspaper covering Monroe Township, Glassboro and Pitman in Gloucester County. After a short time there, she was promoted to executive editor and oversaw eight South Jersey weekly newspapers. After she left there, she worked as a project editor with Slack Incorporated, a company focused on medical publishing, for about a year.

Most recently, Christina was the political and county reporter at the Gloucester County Times, a daily newspaper. She is currently a freelancer for South Jersey Magazine and teaches a publication layout and design class at Rowan University. She grew up in Cinnaminson and graduated high school from there. She moved back to Cinnaminson from 2009 to 2011, and as of 2012, she lives in Riverton. An avid Phillies fan and tea lover, Christina is out and about in Cinnaminson, learning about what's most important to residents here.

Politics is always something I&#39;ve taken seriously, since no matter how old you are, the people who make decisions affect your quality of life. I have always leaned toward the left side and considered myself a liberal. After being a political reporter however, I&#39;m starting to imagine myself more socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I usually vote for the issues though, not the party.<br> <br> <b>Religion</b><br> How religious would you consider yourself?

I was born and grew up Catholic but I have distanced organized religion from my life as I got older. I&#39;d like to believe there is a higher power out there, but I&#39;m just not yet convinced. I do have the utmost respect for any religion or belief system out there. Far be it for me to deny someone the right to believe what he or she wants. I find religion very interesting and often read about it.<br> <b><br> Local Hot-Button Issues</b><br> What do you think are the most important issues facing the community?

* Redevelopment: Cinnaminson has changed so much in the last three years. I want to stay on top of every township plan and new business opening here. 

* Municipal and School Budgets: How will the township and the school board tackle budget season next year, due to severe cuts from the state and a two-percent cap on property tax increases?
