Guests can enjoy great food, drinks, music, and raffles while supporting local youth athletics. Mission Beach House will generously donate 20% of the evening’s proceeds to help cover tournament and travel expenses for our players.

Masks,&nbsp;fashion, a full (cash only) bar (ATM&nbsp;on site), seasonal hors d'oeuvres by Fireside Catering,&nbsp;and live music from the acclaimed Suzuki School of Newton String&nbsp;Quartet, along with dance tunes, all among a community of friends, allies, and neighbors&nbsp;gathered to support the work we do all year long. As&nbsp;we head into our fourth year in 2027, the funds raised this night will&nbsp;directly power what comes next for Cape Ann Pride — more free community&nbsp;events like Families Bowl With Pride and the Teen Sail, expanded&nbsp;programming for LGBTQIA+ youth, seniors, and veterans, advocacy work&nbsp;across Greater Cape Ann, scholarships, and so much more. Winchester Community Music School

Winchester Community Music School’s <a href="https://www.winchestermusic.org/event/musicfest-open-house-5/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">annual MusicFest</a> is free and fun for all ages! This musical open house features a school-wide instrument petting zoo, instrument demos, a scavenger hunt, and a fun opportunity to explore the building. You can try everything from a child-sized violin to a booming timpani drum with the help of current WCMS faculty and students. It’s like a musical maze to roam through—fill in your scavenger hunt card and win a prize! We’ll also be holding placement auditions during MusicFest for a wide range of bands and ensembles—all genres, all ages (kids, teens, and adults). On Sunday, September 20th, Sudbury will host our third inaugural <a href="https://kids.pmc.org/sudbury" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride</a>.&nbsp;Our ride is a 1-mile loop that riders may enjoy as long as they would like. The one mile course is entirely paved and loops through the beautiful residential neighborhoods of historic Sudbury. Parents are welcome to ride with their children but it is not required. If a parent chooses to accompany their child on the bike, we ask that they register as volunteers.&nbsp;
Many kids choose to ride the loop 3-6-12 or even 15 times. We encourage riders to participate as long as they would like. We will have special badges for riders who accomplish 5-8-12 and 15 miles, too! Please indicate at registration an estimate of your rider's total distance (this will help us for event organization).&nbsp;There is also an enclosed parking lot loop all starting from Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA. (Adults may opt to register as volunteers if they would like to ride with the kids). Before the ride there will be music and bike decorating; during the ride and following there will be an Ice-Cream Truck, Food Truck, Coffee Truck, huge bouncy castle, lawn games, music and more. All registered riders will get a free ice cream from our friends at Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. Registration takes place from 8:30am-9:45am. The ride is from 10:00am-11:30am, and food and games will be available from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
“The Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 62 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.”
The Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride empowers young participants to contribute to a meaningful cause while enjoying a fun activity. By offering multiple course options, every child will have the opportunity to participate and make a difference - regardless of age or ability. Each ride distance is carefully planned to be safe and enjoyable, with designated routes through historic Sudbury neighborhoods that are well-marked and closely monitored by volunteers. For the youngest participants, the tot lot loop provides a secure environment where kids can ride in a contained area - strollers, scooters, tricycles are ALL welcome!
Beyond the joy of bike riding, the Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride serves as a powerful educational experience for children, teaching them about the impact of collective efforts in fighting cancer. As they pedal for a purpose, they learn about empathy, community involvement, and the importance of supporting breakthroughs in treatment and cures at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This event not only raises crucial funds for cancer research but also instills valuable life lessons in the young riders; collectively we all pedal towards a more cancer-free future. As with all PMC rides, every penny donated goes directly to cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber.

On Sunday, September 20th, Faith Evangelical Church and A Servant's Heart Food Pantry will host their 16th Annual Sunday Scoops Giveaway from 2:00-4:00pm at Dunton Park in Melrose (the park located across from Faith Church at 200 Franklin Street). This fun and free community event &amp; is our way to say THANK YOU! for all of the ways in which the greater Melrose community supports A Servant's Heart Food Pantry throughout the year.
This year is extra special — A Servant's Heart Food Pantry is celebrating its 30th anniversary of assisting our neighbors! At 3:00pm, we'll hold a short ceremony during ice cream service to honor the special guests and dedicated workers who have made 30 years of service to our community possible.
This event is open to anyone and everyone! You don't have to be a Melrose resident or a direct supporter of the food pantry - you just need to like ice cream. Don't miss this fun and FREE community event!

Join us for a family-friendly day featuring games, remembrance activities, food and drinks, and a walk along Massachusetts Avenue. Whether you know The Children’s Room well or are discovering us for the first time, everyone is welcome.
For 30 years, TCR has provided grief support to children, teens, and families after the death of someone close to them. <a href="https://childrensroom.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Our services are offered free of charge</a>, made possible by the generosity of our community.
