SAMMI Awards, Neighbor

Formed in 2001, the non profit SAMMI Awards Foundation's mission is to celebrate and promote volunteerism in our community. Each year we honor community members for their selfless giving to others. Our categories include Courage, Circle of Service, Youth Spirit, Environmental Stewardship and Community Spirit. Anyone may nominate an individual who lives, works or plays in the Sammamish community for consideration.

Nominees are evaluated by a panel of judges made up of community leaders, business professionals, former SAMMI Awardees, and others who volunteer to serve on the interview panels.

The Annual Award Event is free, open to the public and an excellent way to find inspirational ways in which you might also chose to volunteer and complete the circle of service. Our event features a reception with displays by local non profits, sponsoring organizations and is an opportunity to speak to people who are engaged in various volunteer programs.
