Kiss the Sky is the most authentic, electrifying, exacting, and longest-running Jimi Hendrix re-creation show in the world.
Lead singer Jimy Bleu is famously known as the last living protege of Jimi Hendrix, having crossed paths with the legend in 1968 at New York City's famed School for the Arts.
Hendrix immediately took notice of Bleu's shared name, left-handed style, and uncanny ability to replicate his techniques, including playing behind his back, over his head, and with his teeth.

The show is very faithful to a live CCR performance. Concertgoers will hear all their favorite CCR classics, including Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary, and Up Around the Bend to name a few, as well as songs that the band would turn into live jams such as Born on the Bayou and Susie Q. The band also mixes in John Fogerty classics such as The Old Man Down the Road and Centerfield.
Green River is the brainchild of native New Yorker Rick Horvath. “Noodles,” as he is affectionately known, started singing CCR songs in his first band when he was only 13 years old.

The Newtown Theatre is once again teaming up with David Zaritsky – creator of the world’s #1 James Bond online fan channel (The Bond Experience) and owner of one of the world’s largest 007 memorabilia collections – to present a special screening of Moonraker (1979).
From 4:00-6:00 PM, Zaritsky will host a Bond-themed happy hour at the theatre and display a small handful of props, gadgets and clothing from Bond films. This event includes a heavy charcuterie spread, free popcorn, and a cash bar (wine/bottled beer/canned cocktails). The day will conclude with a screening of Moonraker at 6:15 PM.
If you purchase a ticket for the happy hour and movie, you’re welcome to arrive anytime after 4:00 PM. If you purchase a ticket for the movie only, please arrive no earlier than 5:45 PM. The 11th film in the franchise and one described as the “quintessential summer Bond film,” Moonraker follows secret agent 007 (Roger Moore) as he investigates the hijacking of a space shuttle, leading him from Venice to outer space in a battle against a megalomaniac industrialist plotting to wipe out humanity and repopulate Earth.
