STEP Success Through Education Program, Neighbor

STEP: Success Through Education Program is a new organization based in Burlingame.

We have filed for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Our mission is to end the cycle of recidivism in Northern California. We offer incarcerated and previously incarcerated adults an opportunity to acquire job opportunities through achievement of necessary education or vocational training, resulting in jobs, to make successful transitions into mainstream society when they are released from jail and complete their probation period.

Previously incarcerated adults reentering society after serving their sentences face significant challenges as they try to adjust to life outside jail. In order to reduce recidivism, our clients require foundational courses, job training, mentorship, and educational services to ensure an opportunity for a good job.
