The Baxter’s Pond Foundation (BPF) is celebrating Earth Day! Join us on Saturday April 25: 
(1) We’ll have a table at the Port Washington Public Library’s Annual Earth Day Celebration from noon until 4 pm in the Lapham Room. Come find us, learn more about our work, and take part in a kid-friendly craft. 
(2) We’ll co-host a “biobilitz” with Transition Town Port Washington’s youth activists, who will guide nature walks at Baxter’s Pond as part of the iNaturalist City Challenge. From 2-4 pm participants will learn how to use the iNaturalist app to document the Pond &amp; Park’s flora and fauna. Join us on Shoreview Road on Sunday, May 3, from 1 pm to 5 pm,&nbsp;for our first BPF Block Party! The morning of May 9th will be a busy one at Baxter’s Pond!&nbsp; Please join the Baxter's Pond Foundation (BPF)&nbsp;at 9 am for a Clean Up Event to pick up litter, do some planting, and make our park beautiful. All ages welcome!&nbsp;&nbsp;Meet at the flagpole in comfortable clothing; gloves and garbage bags provided. At 10 am, the native-landscaping professionals from Spadefoot Design &amp; Construction will provide volunteers with hands-on training in how to maintain the new native plantings at Baxter’s Pond while keeping invasives from making a comeback.
