Joe Brandt, President of Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association, will be our guide into the world of foraging and sustainable harvesting. Therapy, Play, and Animal Interactions for Children with Special Needs

<p>TIME 6-8PM, June 4th.<br>“Piece by Piece”&nbsp;is a striking 6-foot-high by 8-foot-wide collaborative installation inspired by an iconic work of American art. The mural was divided into a grid of 48 individual square panels, each reimagined by a different member of the&nbsp;Artists Collective of Westport. Reveal is at 7PM.<br>Without knowing the identity of the original artwork, each artist received only a printout of a single 12” x 12” section and a blank panel on which to create their own interpretation using any medium they chose. The result is a vibrant and often surprising mosaic of styles, perspectives, and artistic voices — a playful yet powerful celebration of community, creativity, and collaboration. As the individual pieces come together, the larger image is gradually revealed, reminding viewers that every contribution plays a role in the creation of something greater than itself.</p>

<p><br>The theme of&nbsp;“American Journeys,”&nbsp;the all-member exhibition presented by the&nbsp;Artists Collective of Westport, was inspired by this year’s national commemoration of America’s 250th birthday. The title reflects the idea that there is no single American journey, but rather a tapestry of countless personal paths, experiences, struggles, and triumphs that together define the American story.<br>More than 60 members of the Collective contributed work to the exhibition, offering a rich diversity of artistic expression and interpretation. All works are available for purchase and are on view in the Sheffer and South Galleries at the&nbsp;Westport Library.<br></p>

<p>Join us for the 2026 Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund Benefit Car Show, which will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM&nbsp;at Town Hall, located at 101 Field Point Road in Greenwich. </p>
<p>In the event of rain, the rain date will be Sunday, June 7, 2026.The popular community event will feature a wide array of classic, antique, custom, and exotic cars all on display in the heart of Greenwich. </p>
<p>The car show is free for spectators and open to the public.The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund invites car owners to sign up for pre-registration for $20 per vehicle by June 4.<br><a href="https://www.gpdscholarshipfund.org/gpdsf-car-show/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><u>https://www.gpdscholarshipfund.org/gpdsf-car-show/</u></a></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gpdscholarshipfund.org/gpdsf-car-show/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><u></u></a>The event is open to car clubs, and same-day registration will be available at the entrance if space permits for $25 per vehicle. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund. The family-friendly event will feature a DJ, a 50/50 raffle, food trucks, and more, creating a festive atmosphere for car enthusiasts and families alike.</p>
<p>Sponsorship opportunities begin at just $50, with options such as $125 for a Trophy Sponsor&nbsp;and $250 for an on-site sponsor package. Automobile dealership opportunities begin at $500, which includes on-site participation and the opportunity to display a vehicle. Greenwich Magazine/Moffly Media will once again serve as the exclusive media sponsor.</p>
<p>“This year’s car show is especially meaningful as the Greenwich Police Department celebrates 130 years of service to the community,” said Chief of Police James Heavey. “For more than a century, our officers have worked to protect and serve the residents of Greenwich with professionalism and dedication. The Scholarship Fund reflects our commitment to supporting the families of those officers, and the car show is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate that legacy, and help invest in the next generation.”</p>
<p>Children of Greenwich Police officers who demonstrate ability, character, and academic promise&nbsp;and who qualify for undergraduate studies&nbsp;are eligible to receive financial assistance through the Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund.</p>

<p>UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).</p>
<p>There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand. Also featuring raffle prizes, Kids Zone bouncy house, games and activities, and 40 different vendors and artisans for interested shoppers. </p>
<p>We encourage all attendees to take advantage of the <b>FREE PARKING SHUTTLE</b><b> </b>from 22 Old Waterbury Rd (only 500 yards away).</p>

<p><b></b><a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><b>Ridgefield’s seventh annual Pride in the Park</b></a> celebration will take place on <b>SATURDAY, JUNE 6</b> from <b>12 - 3 pm in Ballard Park, Ridgefield</b> (<i>Rain location: Yanity Gym</i>) with a parade around the park starting at 1pm. &nbsp; Ridgefield Pride in the Park is a <b>free </b>event, open to the public and catering to families, with a variety of activities, crafts, entertainment and informational tables for all ages.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>In addition to <a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><b>Pride in the Park</b></a>, there will be a multitude of celebratory Pride events and <b>Pride Promotions</b> throughout May, June and July with something for everyone, from our tiniest tots to our seniors.
