Jacques Fleury is a Haitian-American Poet, Author and Educator. He holds a degree in Liberal Arts. His first book "Sparks in the Dark: A Lighter Shade of Blue, A Poetic Memoir" was featured in and endorsed by the Boston Globe. His second book "It's Always Sunrise Somewhere and Other Stories" is featured on Book Daily & Book Bub. His work is also featured on the Internet (Odd Ball Magazine, The Boston Haitian Reporter, Spare Change News, Whats Up Magazine, Sommerville News, The Bridge, The Alewife, The International Network of Street Newspapers (INSP) and in the international anthology "HOME" by Eden Waters Press, the anthology "Class Lives: Stories from Our Economic Divide" edited by Chuck Collins et al & published by Cornell University Press in London, England. His second book: "It's Always Sunrise Somewhere and Other Stories" published by Author House Publishing is a collection of short fictional stories dealing with the human condition as the character navigate life's foibles. He has made personal appearances at many Boston and Cambridge area venues including Harvard University, North Eastern University and many others. His Cd "A Lighter Shade of Blue" in collaboration with the folk musical group "Sweet Swednesday" is availlable on Itunes to benefit Haitian charity St. Boniface. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
