JourneysMother Beauty Health & Fitness, LLC was founded in 2008 by a New Jersey (Bergen County) mother, artist and Zumba® Fitness Instructor, Jacquie Gibbs Berry, along with her 13 year old daughter, Journey. The concept of JourneysMother Lotion Bar and Lotion Pellets™ was inspired by the frustration of pumping out liquid lotion from plastic bottles and scraping the bottoms to get the last quarter portion. They decided to make their own solid lotion bar, made of only natural organic ingredients, and eventually created their patent-pending mini lotion pellet and officially started their business in 2011. They developed their own website, packaging, marketing, vending shows, demos and eventually featured in beauty, health and fitness publications and blog sites. Their products can be found in select NJ/NY Whole Foods Markets body care departments and were featured in COSMOPOLITAN.com as a best Earth-Friendly Beauty Find of 2012 and their mini lotion pellets deemed "genius" by the editor.
