Join us (rain or shine!!) on Saturday, May 2 for a festival event in celebration of Glen Echo Park's 105-year-old Dentzel carousel as it opens for the season! In addition to riding the carousel ($2 per ride or $5 for an all-day pass), visitors will enjoy many FREE activities throughout the Park, including performances, hands-on art projects, open studios &amp; galleries, and more! Food options include Praline Café and Money Muscle BBQ food truck, as well as cold treats from Ben &amp; Jerry's and Pacha Mama Juice Co. Plus, the star of the show: carousel rides! Performing bands during this evening will be Nowhere Men, a Beatles tribute band, with The Wildflower Frequency opening the set.

Nowhere Men are an acoustic quartet of guitars, bass, percussion, and lots of singing! Based out of NOVA, NM pride themselves on reproducing the vocals of the Beatles in a more intimate atmosphere that is suited for a wide variety of venues. They will be returning at the Park, previously performing during the Summer Concert Series and Music FREE-for-all back in 2025!

Gala Swing Dance Afterparty | May 16, 2026 | Bumper Car Pavilion | 9pm Featuring Live Music by The Rock-A-Sonics and Dessert &amp; Champagne Let's dance in support of the Park! The Gala Swing Dance Afterparty keeps the Gala in the Park celebration in full swing with dancing, drinks, and dessert. Every ticket fuels a creative community where art, dance, and music thrive! We're thrilled to welcome The Rock-A-Sonics back to the Park, as they bring their exciting mix of atomic age rock ‘n’ roll, classic country, rockabilly, and rhythm &amp; blues to the dance floor. Featuring Willie Barry on vocals and acoustic guitar, Eric Hurtt on electric guitar and vocals, Louie Newmyer on upright bass and vocals, Tommy Bowes on drums and vocals, and Kim Reynolds on piano, steel guitar and saxophone. We'll start off the afterparty with a beginner-friendly swing lesson taught by Tom &amp; Debra of Gottaswing, then dance the night away with the band! Enjoy an evening of live music at a Honky Tonk Dance with Dede &amp; the Do-Rights, presented by Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts &amp; Culture. A free beginner lesson in two step included with admission, led by Diana Nevills from the Church of Honky Tonk.

Dede &amp; the Do-Rights is a Baltimore-based band featuring Dede Wyland that plays a mix of vintage country and early rock 'n' roll, often described as "Rock 'n' Roots Country". Known for high-energy, danceable performances, they are a staple in the local honky-tonk scene.
