Our normal viewing believing that somehow we are more important than others has no basis in reality. This view causes us so many problems. Through engaging in a special meditation on cherishing all living beings we can come to see the deceptive nature of this view and from this begin to establish a basis for developing universal compassion. Everybody welcome. Includes guided meditations, talks and refreshments after the retreat.

Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Center

Making a mala, or rosary of prayer beads is more than just an arts & crafts project. If done mindfully, it is a spiritual practice in itself, and the object we create is also special, becoming more and more blessed as we use it.
Mantra recitation is an essential element of many spiritual practices, as a way of requesting protection, blessings, and attainments. Learn how to make your own mala, as well as some simple mantras to connect with enlightened beings such as Buddha Shakyamuni, Avalokiteshvara, and Tara.
Includes all materials.
