Karen Owens, Neighbor

I have been a performer most of my life - first as a dancer with Columbia City Ballet during my childhood and for the past 25 years as a Public Relations professional. I enjoy the challenge and thrill of communicating with others, whether that's in front of a microphone or behind the scenes using my computer.

I am a die-hard Gamecock living in a household full of Clemson Tigers. I've become a big Chapin Eagles fan thanks to my children, but I still pull for my good old Hammond Skyhawks from time to time.

Although I grew up as a ballerina, I have always been a sports enthusiast and fan. Football, tennis and golf are my favorite sports, and I enjoy watching my boys play basketball, soccer and lacrosse, too. I have completed two triathlons and like to work out to stay in shape!

I love my animals! We have two dogs, two cats and a rat snake that I'm not too crazy about. I love spending time on the lake and at Pawleys Island with my family and friends. I love to cook and drink a great glass of wine. And I am thankful for the blessing of good friends and loving family members!
