Park Avenue Congregational Church

On Sunday, November 15th, at 2 PM, the Park Avenue Congregational Church Concert Series is delighted to present “A Journey of Musical Stories.” Besides
works by Handel and Bizet, the program includes more modern works by Sondheim and others, including a highly dramatic interpretation of Lady Macbeth’s mad scene from Shakespeare by our own Jeffrey Brody. An artists’ reception follows the concert.

Email us at concertseriestix@pacc-ucc.org or call 781-643-8680 to reserve at the lower advance price of $18 for Adults, and $12 for Seniors/ Students. We will note the reservation for
payment at the door. Please include: 1. your name, 2. your email address or phone number, and 3. the #s of each type desired (adult, senior or student). Without advance reservations, the price is $23 and $15.

The emotion in the music and the performer’s interpretation add a great deal to what a story told in song conveys. Come hear three exceptionally expressive singers, soprano Sara Michale Smith, mezzo-soprano Leslie Jacobson Kaye, and alto Joanna Porackova who have each performed with multiple opera companies as well as to acclaim in a broad range of other musical venues. Besides being a composer with a piece included in this program, pianist Nathan Johnson has been a guest soloist with orchestras in the U. S. and Europe.

Financially strapped Francis Henshall has taken on the job of servant to Roscoe Crabbe, a small-time East London hood who is trying to collect money from his fiancee's father. However, 'Roscoe' is really his twin sister 'Rachel'...who has been posing as her own dead brother...who was killed by her own boyfriend, Stanley Stubbers...for whom Francis also works as his servant.Still with us?
