New Bethany Ministries is a faith-based, non-discriminatory nonprofit agency primarily located in Southside Bethlehem. For 30 years, New Bethany Ministries has provided programming to help the hungry, homeless, poor, and mentally ill of the Lehigh Valley. With nine comprehensive programs and six housing sites, New Bethany seeks to provide for our community members in need. We are the only nonprofit in the area with a day shelter open 8:00-4:00 Monday thru Friday, featuring laundry and showering services, an emergency food pantry, a medical clinic twice monthly, and two meals served each day. In addition, New Bethany runs housing programs at six Lehigh Valley sites ranging from transitional to permanent housing, as well as homelessness prevention programs like our Representative Payee Program.
