Northern Virginia Organization Celebrates 70 Years of Service and Impact Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Zeta Chi Omega Chapter is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a host of events, including an evening gala on May 23. The event is open to the public, and tickets may be purchased through May 16.&nbsp; The chapter has proudly served the Arlington and Alexandria communities since 1956.&nbsp;

Little Shop of Horrors follows nerdy florist Seymour Krelborn, who finds fame and fortune after discovering a mysterious, alien plant he names "Audrey II". The R&amp;B-singing, man-eating plant is very demanding, forcing Seymour to do his bidding.
Little Shop of Horrors centers on themes of fatal ambition, greed, and the high cost of success. It explores the dangers of giving in to temptation, the exploitation of the poor, and the destruction caused by unbridled desire.
The musical features a mix of dark comedy, rock-and-roll, and doo-wop music, exploring themes of greed and sacrifice. Performed by 46 Alexandria youth, this promises to be one of the most dynamic and entertaining local production you will see this year.
