• Starbucks baristas at Barcroft Plaza cafe vote to unionize (ffxnow.com) — Baristas at the Starbucks in Barcroft Plaza in Lincolnia have voted 9-6 to unionize, making it the 26th unionized Starbucks in Virginia. The decision follows years of nationwide organizing over pay, scheduling, and working conditions, and local workers now join a broader push for a first national labor contract with the company. 
• Registration open for Senior Olympics (annandaletoday.com) — Lincolnia seniors can now sign up for the 2026 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics, with cribbage, line dancing, and pool hosted right at the Lincolnia Senior Center. Running Sept. 11–Oct. 4 across Northern Virginia, the games offer 47 events, low registration fees, and a focus on fun, fitness, and social connection for residents 50 and older.
