Libby lives on Main Street where she literally has a window into the Borough.

Libby has wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember. Between college and graduate school at Brown her fiction appeared in Redbook. In 2004, Little, Brown published her novel Blow Out the Moon. Since then, she has written many more books and helps aspiring authors —editing, coaching -- get their books ready for publication. Her most recent book (out 2011) is a memoir from two-time Caldecott winner Ed Young about his childhood in wartime Shanghai.

When Libby's not writing you can often find her walking around the borough. She loves cooking with local products (there's no going back once you've tasted eggs from local chickens), and inventing recipes. In one of her articles she teaches readers, in words and video, the foolproof method for opening oysters she learned from Seawell Seafood.

If you see Libby walking around admiring Stonington and taking pictures stop and say hi. You can also find her doing yoga and she's hoping to start riding again—she's ridden horses on every continent except for Antarctica.
