Most recently, he was an editor at the Orange County Register. Prior to that, he was city editor of the Hollister Freelance (south of San Jose). And before that, he worked as a freelance writer for publications in South County. Luke started in journalism in college, first working as a reporter and editor for Santa Ana College&#39;s El Don student newspaper and then as managing editor of Chapman University&#39;s Panther student newspaper.

Luke is married and has a son. Family pets include a dog, Fritz, and a cat, Mr. Weiss, who is quite talented at rodent control. In his off time, Luke enjoys vegetable gardening, grilling and trap shooting, along with spending time with his family.

Lutheran. But it&#39;s been a while.

Where do you stand on each of these issues?

The Airport Settlement Agreement; group homes located in residential areas; balancing development with preservation of the environment; at what times can dogs be walked on the beach; and City Hall.

I like to keep an open mind.
