Glenn Morrow is the celebrated author of two previous works of fiction: Things Beloved and Vacation and Other Tales of Enduring Love. He has worked as a teacher, advocacy journalist, editor of Storytelling Magazine, and technical writer. He believes that fiction should be a gift that offers humor, hope, and clarity. He resides and replaces lightbulbs in North Kingstown with his wife Deborah. Lighting Is Everything begins with a lightbulb joke. The porch bulb that Jerry and Franny are unable to reach is changed by a total stranger who proceeds to change their lives. Their quiet family home is abruptly upended and filled with movie lighting, illuminating a very different reality, with consequences both richly comic and deeply troubling.
