In 1799, George Washington's distillery produced nearly 11,000 gallons, making it one of the largest whiskey distilleries in America. Today, a reconstructed working distillery produces small batch spirits on-site using 18th-century distilling methods.
You will sample 3 distilled spirits, hear about the history of distilling spirits, and tour Washington's reconstructed gristmill and distillery.
Attend tastings on Saturdays in May, June, and September at George Washington's Distillery &amp; Gristmill, located 2.7 miles from Mount Vernon.

Our free concert, A Journey Through American Music, will highlight American artists and composers throughout America's musical history. From jazz to marches to film music and everything in between, come join us on Saturday, June 6 at Leonard "Chick" Armstrong Rec Center for a fun and engaging musical time celebrating America's past and bright future.
