Our weekly summer concerts in the Healdsburg Plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. provide an eclectic and unique line-up of bands, and have been assembled to please a wide array of musical interests. Food vendors will be on-hand to offer locally sourced food for sale starting at 5:00 p.m. with the music beginning at 6:00 p.m.
About the band: Aki Kumar is a musician with a diverse musical background and a unique approach to blending genres. Born in Mumbai, India, Kumar's parents' eclectic tastes exposed him to a wide range of sounds, including rock 'n' roll, Bollywood film scores, and Indian classical music.
After moving to the U.S. in 1998 to study computer science, he discovered blues and became a harmonica player and vocalist. His journey includes studying with David Barrett at the School of the Blues in San Jose and performing with local bands. Kumar's music is a fusion of Chicago-style blues with Bollywood and Indian pop elements, earning him the nickname "The Only Bombay Blues Man." His latest album, "God Bless The USA," showcases his unique synthesis of blues and Indian sensibilities.

Join us for a series of relaxing afternoons in the plaza this summer from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Each week will feature a live music performance from a local band or performer. Not to be confused with Tuesdays in the Plaza, this is a great opportunity to bring a picnic, sit back, relax and enjoy the melodies.
About the music: Storyteller, content creator, songwriter and all around creative force, Laura Benitez has been making her mark on stage and screen for more than two decades. Specializing in classic country music, she recently wrote the theme song for the Dingus of the Week podcast created by popular author and activist Lyz Lenz, and her song "Our Remember Whens" received an honorable mention in the American Songwriter lyric contest in January of 2016. Taking her musical cues from the heavily rock influenced Bakersfield sound, and her lyric inspiration from her favorite songwriters Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn, Laura began writing songs in 2008.

About the music: French-born vocalist and guitarist Isabelle Fontaine grew up inspired by Édith Piaf, Charles Trenet, and Yves Montand, later building a career across Europe before settling in the Bay Area, where she’s known for her expressive vocals and rhythmic guitar rooted in gypsy swing and American Songbook traditions. San Francisco native Jeff Magidson spent two decades in France immersed in blues and jazz, developing a deep passion for Django Reinhardt’s music; he is a former member of the Hot Club of San Francisco and an accomplished performer, producer, and author.
Together as Duo Gadjo, they blend their transatlantic influences into a lively, vintage-inspired sound—“jazz with a French twist”—featuring gypsy guitars and a repertoire of French classics, American standards, and New Orleans blues.

About the music: Caminos &amp; Torre is a stunning Flamenco and Latin guitar duo featuring two of the Bay Area’s most talented guitarists, Jesse Torre and Carlos Caminos. Their dynamic performances blend the intensity of Flamenco with the rich rhythms of Latin America, creating an unforgettable experience. With Jesse Torre’s extensive collaborations with top Flamenco artists and dancers, and Carlos Caminos’ deep-rooted experience in Latin music, this duo offers performances that are both virtuosic and beautifully nuanced. Their music takes you on a journey—from the soulful melodies of Flamenco Bulerías and Alegrías to the lively Cuban Boleros, Venezuelan Joropo, and Brazilian Choros, you will experience not only a sonic representation of spanish and latin american culture. Further, you will experience the history and evolution of the Spanish guitar.

About the band: Rooted in the heart of San Francisco’s storied musical landscape, Playing the Dead is more than just a tribute band—they are a living, breathing homage to the spirit of the Grateful Dead and jerry garcia. Fusing improvisation, psychedelic textures, and heartfelt musicianship, the band captures the essence of The Dead's legendary live shows while adding their own unique spark to every performance.
Formed by a collective of Bay Area musicians with deep reverence for The Dead’s catalog and countercultural ethos, Playing The Dead has quickly gained a loyal following throughout Northern California. Their shows are journeys—equal parts celebration and ceremony—where long-time Deadheads and new listeners alike gather to dance, connect, and relive the magic.

About the band: Burrows and Dilbeck consists of vocalist/pianist Spencer Burrows and master guitarist /recording engineer Kris Dilbeck. Although they both originated from just North of San Francisco bay area ( Sonoma County ), their musical connection hadn’t started brewing until they connected in 2002 while working on music recording projects together at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. After their stint at Berklee concluded, they both landed back in their home towns and started a group called FunKtion with musicians, Dane Lundy (bass) and Aaron Haggerty (drums).
Function recorded a handful of original songs that were never released, but only had one performance before calling it quits. The duo went on to create a new group in called Spencer B and the FSDs with musicians, Emily Froberg (bass) and Cory Stück (drums) which in 2005 would be the makings of the original band, Frobeck. In just 4 years, Frobeck would record 3 original albums, win the Mystic Theater battle of the bands and be named “Best of the North Bay.” In 2010, they caught the attention of management and expanded the band to include a horn section (Bari saxophonist and longtime friend, Alex Scammon, tenor saxophonist, Alex Garcia, and trumpeter Cayce carnahan), and a grossly over qualified backing vocalist ( Callie Watts - who would later become Kris’ wife ).
Tuesdays in the Plaza is hosted by the City of Healdsburg Community Services. At this concert we'll celebrate National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

About the band: Cassie B is a San Diego-based singer, dancer, and bandleader known for energetic performances with her group, the Cassie B Project. A San Diego native, she grew up in musical theater, danced with Culture Shock, and spent 8.5 years performing at SeaWorld. Her band plays top 40, motown, and pop hits for events and serves as the Padres house band. With show stopping talent and extreme passion, Cassie B stops at nothing to create an extraordinary experience you'll never forget.

An unforgettable afternoon and early evening of music and French cuisine in honor of Bastille Day, and our friendship with the people of France, French immigrants, and their descendants.The Ranch at Sonoma Mountain and Bodega Bay Oyster Company invite the community to enjoy a French cabaret jazz concert while savoring French appetizers, oysters, a four-course meal, and French wines.
Seating will be outside in an intimate setting at
Bodega Bay Oyster Company where guests will enjoy a seasonal French menu highlighting ingredients from the Ranch at Sonoma Mountain, oysters from Bodega Bay Oyster Company, and carefully selected products from local artisans. Attendees will be transported to the 1920-1940s cabaret jazz scene in Paris with singer Laurent Fourgo performing his sweet jazzy sound and some added juke box favorites; special guest vocalist Isabelle Fontaine will captivate with her rich melodies in a soulful Gypsy style. The band includes power house instrumentalists Jeff Sanford on horns, Simon Planting on bass, Karen Kusanovich on percussion, and Jeff Magidson on guitar. 
Guests are encouraged to dress in Cabaret style attire with fun prizes going to the best dressed couple and best dressed table. Optional Event Additions: 
We also welcome attendees to join us in the morning at either of two optional event additions. Enjoy the beauty of Tomales Bay, learn about oyster farming, and enjoy a delicious bowl of bouillabaisse and other delectables.
