SAYVILLE, NY – Need a prescription for eyeglasses? Optika Eye LTD is the first location in Suffolk County utilizing the latest tele-health technology providing their patients with eyeglass prescriptions whenever needed. Optika performs on-site vision testing, resulting in an eyeglass lens prescription in less than 15 minutes. No appointment is necessary.

Testing is performed by a remote Certified Ophthalmic Technician using a state-of-the-art, automated, tele-ophthalmic system in conjunction with 20/20 Vision Center, LLC. The test results are then reviewed, finalized and e-signed by a New York State Board-Certified Ophthalmologist. This final prescription is then transmitted back to Optika and glasses can be selected and purchased on the spot.

Optika Eye LTD is located at 153 Main Street and is open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Wednesday; and 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Friday. The addition of Optika’s state-of-the-art, automated, tele-ophthalmic system will allow patients to walk-in for eye testing during business hours without an appointment.
