The Helping Hearts Club was founded to help promote a spirit of giving, a sense of purpose, compassion, dedication, and selflessness. The idea that one person can make a difference is the heart of what these passionate girls are about. Through friendship, they have found a way to think of others, find joy in doing for others, and not expect anything in return. What they have received in return are immeasurable life lessons about the human spirit and how good deeds are certainly not things that go unnoticed.

Their goal is to raise money for selected charities through fundraising efforts. They are also involved in community work by making sandwiches monthly for a local food kitchen. They have made over 400 sandwiches and raised over $3,500 for JDRF and Ronald McDonald House. When someone donates money to their cause, they put their name on a heart and add it to a chain of paper hearts. Their goal is for it to stretch down Main Street in Sayville to show that together we can make a difference, one heart at a time. They have a webpage that is updated so the community can follow their activities and accomplishments.
